You can follow the step by step instructions below to get it installed on your computer or laptop. As layer-based photo editing is possible with Snapseed, you can even replace Photoshop for basic and some complex photo editing.
At first, we will need to download a software called Bluestacks for this purpose. Bluestacks is an Android Emulator that can be used to run any Android Apps on PC or laptop. It is available for both Windows and Mac. If you have either of these two computers, you can download it from their official site.
Once Bluestacks is downloaded, next is to install it. Just install Bluestacks and open it up.
Opening Bluestacks for the very first time will be a time-consuming process and it will take at least 10x more time in opening the software than regular. This is the case with the first time boot only, hereafter this will load faster and quickly.
Once Bluestacks is opened, click on the Google Play Store icon from the App drawer. It will ask you to log in to a Google Account so as to access Play Store.
If you have a Gmail account already then go ahead and log in to your account or else you can sign up for a new account and login with that ID. It is must that you need a valid Gmail ID in order to access Play Store. Or else you will be forced to download the APK file of Snapseed and sideloading it, which is a lengthy process.
Once you are logged into your account, just type and search for Snapseed in the search box. Install the official snapseed app.
Wait until the app is installed, it might take a little while. Once the installation is done you are done downloading Snapseed for your computer. Go back to the home screen of Bluestacks and open App Drawer.
Now, you will be able to find the Snapseed app icon in the App Drawer. Just tap on the icon and it will open Snapseed for the very first time.
Now, you can import the photo that you want to edit and start using Snapseed in your PC right away. This is the easiest and only method by which you can install and use Snapseed on your PC.
